GEAR PURCHASE FROM MEC ,HALIFAX--- For anyone thinking of buyong gear, getting it delivered to MEC Halifax prior to trip, read carefully--Got this from MEC

It's now possible to select any MEC store as the delivery address for an order that is placed on our site, by choosing "Store Pickup - Free Delivery" from the Delivery Address options at the end of the order, then selecting the desired store from the list that appears.Store Pickups are delivered to our stores as part of a regular inventory shipment, with the delivery range depending on when the next truck leaves our Vancouver warehouse, and on the number of MEC stores at which it stops as it crosses Canada. In the case of our Halifax store, this delay is 14-18 days, so you should place your order at least this much in advance of your arrival date. As well, all orders that are placed from an address outside Canada are subject to an address verification that typically adds 2-4 days to the processing time, so this delay should be included in the delivery estimate.
